Out state rep vies to replace Baldwin in Congress

Openly gay Wisconsin state Rep. Mark Pocan is a leading contender in the race to replace Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., in the U.S. House of Representatives. Pocan is married to Phil Frank, with whom he owns and operates a print shop. "When you talk to the president and other members of Congress, let them see what a same-sex couple looks like who are happy married after five years and defying most of the odds of heterosexual couples at that point," Pocan said of the example he would set in Washington.
