Android claims more than 90% market share in China

More than 9 in 10 smartphones in China now run on Google's Android operating system, compared with less than 6 in 10 last year, a study finds. The trend has proved a boon to local firms, but Google has seen fewer benefits, as some of its programs don't work in China. Analysts note that the figures in the study don't reflect knockoff phones or imported grey-market devices.
