Mobile bridges the marketing gap between rural, urban in India

Although great disparities in wealth exist between urban and rural dwellers in India, they're fairly close in terms of mobile usage. According to the latest census data, almost half of rural households have a mobile phone, compared with 64% of urban households. Given such widespread access, “marketers need to explore different kinds of content (not just large video files) that are tailored for ‘out-and-about’ usage occasions, and that are not driven by an interruptive model that will only frustrate audiences,” said We Are Social Managing Director Simon Kemp.
