Tylted's in-app ad platform to expand mobile gameplay

Tylted has introduced ad platform GameDrop that provides in-app gaming overlays via existing ad networks. Game developers can place versions of their games within other applications and "[r]ather than just seeing advertising for game downloads on banner ads in apps, customers will be able to play the game without leaving the application," Scott Denne writes. The company beta-tested the platform in the Pandora app, and it yielded a 13-minute average playing time and three times the interaction rate of regular mobile banner ads.
