Behavioral detection is effective, says TSA chief

Transportation Security Administration head John Pistole defended the TSA's Screening of Passengers by Observation Techniques program in a recent hearing. "That's also a purpose of SPOT and [behavioral detection officers] -- to serve as a deterrent to a threat we may never know existed," Pistole said.
