Supporters of Washington state's biotech-labeling proposal admitted defeat more than a week after the election. As of Nov. 14, 51.41% of the state's voters opposed Initiative 522 while 48.59% backed the proposal. "I am entirely proud of the campaign we ran. It was factual and respectable. It was clear from the first day -- the more voters knew, the less they would like it," said Dana Bieber, spokeswoman for the No on 522 campaign.
