A new green-lobbying guide aims to encourage progressive businesses to throw their weight behind climate and clean-energy legislation in a bid to offset the political clout of fossil-fuel giants and trade groups. The report highlights the need for companies that support clean-energy initiatives to speak out, says Steve Howard, chief sustainability officer at IKEA. "There is an old expression which is that winners go to market and losers go to Washington. But we now need the winners to go to Washington and Brussels and Beijing to help unlock business innovation and investment to get this problem solved," Howard says.
