Defense firms hunt sales abroad

In a time when domestic defense spending is shrinking, U.S. manufacturers are increasingly seeking sales abroad, where Asia has emerged as a particularly robust market. "They're all looking for opportunities for growth at a time when the U.S. defense budget is declining," says Remy Nathan, vice president for international affairs at the Aerospace Industries Association, a leading trade group. "You go where the money is."
