Experts: Options, challenges grow as health care changes take effect

Increased health care options can benefit retirees, but employers must be prepared to educate retired workers about what the changes mean for them, experts say. "There are many more choices in plans, greater competition and federal subsidies to offset costs. Most employers are looking to preserve the value of their benefits," said John Grosso of Aon Hewitt. Many employers are considering using private exchanges amid changes for retirees who qualify for Medicare, according to a study by Aon Hewitt, which operates two such exchanges.
