Experts: Switch from outdoor to indoor workout can add options

Fitness experts say moving an outdoor-exercise regimen indoors for the winter can give people a chance to hone their routine, work different muscles or try out options such as yoga, cross-training or strength training. Exercise physiologist Jessica Matthews says moving from an outdoor run to a treadmill can let runners customize workouts and focus on areas such as speed, intervals or hills.
