Iowa school district boosts STEM education in multiple ways

Waterloo, Iowa, Community Schools are adding more science, technology, engineering and math classes to the curriculum and taking the training needs of local industries into consideration. A nonprofit foundation was established three years ago to award grants to fund STEM efforts in schools. Among other offerings, engineering and robotics courses are available to students of various grades during and after school.
