Math concepts come to life in architectural-design program

Students in an advanced math class in an Illinois elementary school are learning the math of architecture. Students participating in the 10-week Build it Wright program -- in honor of architect Frank Lloyd Wright -- will design floor plans and make 3D models of their designs. "The goal is to enable students to discuss architectural detail and design, observe and evaluate their built environment, and design and build models," said Brook Hutchinson with the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust, which directs the program.
