Miss. city board is asked to regulate adult businesses

The Oxford, Miss., Planning Commission has asked the Board of Aldermen to consider an ordinance that would restrict adult entertainment. The board might study the issue next month or in January. An ordinance existed at one time, but it was left out when the land code was updated, City Attorney Paul Watkins says. Without an ordinance, adult-entertainment venues can be established anywhere.
