Multibillion-dollar building boom underway in Texas, thanks to oil, gas projects

There are billions of dollars worth of port projects underway or being planned in Texas thanks to the Eagle Ford drilling boom. Among them are Cheniere Energy's proposed $10 billion gas liquefaction plant and the $1.3 billion plant being built by China's Tianjin Pipe. Non-oil-related companies also are building. M&G Group has plans for a $1.3 billion PET resin plant, which is in the permitting stages, and Austria's Voestalpine has proposed a $700 million iron ore importation plant.
