Shell to resume Arctic exploration in July 2014, document confirms

A monthly report by Transocean released on Nov. 18 confirmed that Royal Dutch Shell's three-year rig contract with the company will begin in July. Transocean's Polar Pioneer rig will replace Shell's Kulluk rig, which ran aground last winter. This news confirms earlier statements by Shell that it plans to resume Arctic exploration off the coast of Alaska.
