U.S. homebuilders remain faintly positive as market ebbs

U.S. homebuilder sentiment remains modestly positive this month at a four-month low. The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo gauge of 54 is unchanged from October's reading amid evidence that higher mortgage interest rates and the unsettling effects of October's brief government shutdown are holding down consumer demand.
