Every leader should be sure to listen to and value dissenting views, says Bob Pittman, chairman and CEO of Clear Channel Communications. There's always someone with an alternative point of view, and it's better to consider those views before you commit to a course of action, Pittman says. "They may intend to tell you why we can't do something, but if you listen hard, what they're really telling you is what you must do to get something done," he adds.
