Wheat grain may be beneficial to diabetics

Researchers in Canada have found diabetic rats lowered their blood glucose levels by as much as 19% when fed extracts of buckwheat seed. They said people can include the seed in their diets, though more research is needed to gauge how much, and in what form, the wheat should be consumed to gain the most benefit.
