Peer-tutoring program delivers improved test scores

Participants in a Memphis peer-tutoring program score "significantly higher" than their untutored peers on Tennessee's standardized tests, according to a study. Under the program, successful upperclassmen are paid $10 per hour to tutor younger students in critical subject areas.
