School board suspends kindergarten teacher over class vote

A Florida district's school board voted unanimously Tuesday to suspend kindergarten teacher Wendy Portillo, who allowed her students to vote a 5-year-old with Asperger's syndrome out of the class. The board will also ask the state to revoke the Portillo's teaching certificate for one year. Portillo's attorney said they intend to appeal the decision.
