News sites see year-over-year dip in October readership

Due in part to last October's closely watched news events -- including the presidential campaign and the financial crisis -- top news sites saw year-over-year declines in unique visitors last month, according to a Nielsen Business Media report. Bucking the trend was the leading news site, Yahoo!, up 10% from last October, and fourth-place AOL News, which improved 17% over the year-ago period.
