Regency Energy plans facility expansion in Louisiana shale play

To meet production demands from its Haynesville Shale prospect, Regency Energy Partners will proceed with a $40 million expansion project to build a gas-gathering system in northern Louisiana. The venture, which is set to be finished by the second quarter of next year, will bring the company's total investment in the region to $790 million, executives said. Regency will also install a gas-treatment facility that is expected to produce up to 300 million cubic feet of gas per day.
