S.C. lawmaker supports making E-Verify permanent

Rep. Bob Inglis, R-S.C., is pushing to make the E-Verify system permanent and on Wednesday sent letters to other lawmakers urging them to support the proposal. In October, President Barack Obama signed a measure that extends the program for three years. Lawmakers have rejected previous efforts to make E-Verify permanent.
