Group to push for puppy-mill legislation in Texas

An advocacy group is collaborating with the Texas Veterinary Medical Association to devise a bill that would set standards for large commercial dog breeders in the state in a bid to clamp down on puppy mills. The group plans to introduce the measure in the next legislative session, which begins in January.
