Higher obesity rate seen in children with psoriasis

A study in the Archives of Dermatology found children with psoriasis were at an increased risk of obesity, especially if they have severe psoriasis or if they live in the U.S. Data on 614 children aged 5 to 17 revealed 37.9% of those with psoriasis showed excess adiposity compared with 20.5% in the control group.
