London might be dethroned as top financial hub

A minority of senior financial-services leaders think London will retain its status as the leading financial hub during the next five years, according to a survey by Kinetic Partners. "London is losing out because capital has to be ring fenced nationally now," the consultancy's Andrew Shrimpton said. "The fading out of the idea of a global firm with the ability to move capital freely between entities means subsidiaries will be established where the biggest savings markets are."
