Marketers push branded apps, keep an eye on aggregators

Mobile marketers will have their hands full this holiday season, balancing their own branded applications and their presence on third-party apps, Lauren Johnson writes. "Those aggregator-type apps can be a strong driver of mobile traffic, so retailers are making sure to at a minimum provide the most accurate information to those apps, so that the retailer's best offers are displayed to shoppers," RSR Research's Nikki Baird said. A Pricegrabber survey shows almost one-third of mobile users will download at least one shopping app this holiday season.
