Study cites benefits of participatory nutrition education

A study found that participatory nutrition education was more effective for patients with gastrectomy than was usual nutrition education. Those in the participatory program showed improved knowledge, oral intake, compliance with dietary rules and satisfaction, according to research presented at an Oncology Nursing Society conference.
