Broadband providers in the third quarter added new customers at a slower rate than last year, according to Leichtman Research Group estimates. The slowdown may indicate that broadband is close to saturation in the U.S. market, with penetration now at 73% and expected to peak at 80%, according to Greg Moffett of MoffettNathanson Research.
Analyst: Broadband may be close to its saturation point in U.S.
