Cinnabon parent to buy majority stake in Carl's Jr. owner

Atlanta-based Roark Capital Group will acquire a majority stake in CKE, the parent of quickserve chains Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, from current owner Apollo Management which paid $694 million for the company three years ago. Roark will add the chains to its growing list of restaurant holdings, which also includes Cinnabon, Wingstop, Corner Bakery Cafe, Seattle’s Best Coffee and Arby’s.
