School leaders face a variety of challenges -- from personnel issues to truancy -- but William Parker, principal of Skiatook High School near Tulsa, Okla., describes in this blog post why the headaches are worth it. He suggests that leaders venture out of their offices and into the schools to see the progress being made, and look for ways to turn challenges into learning opportunities. "Isn't it more satisfying to think about these positive moments multiplied over and over again every day rather than the difficulties?" Parker asks.
