N.M. utility seeks proposals for 150,000 MWh of renewable energy

Public Service Company of New Mexico is seeking proposals from wind, solar, hydropower, biofuel and geothermal power producers to comply with the state's renewable energy requirements. The company plans to begin sourcing 150,000 megawatt-hours of renewable power from various companies in 2016. "We are looking for solid proposals that will help us provide affordable and reliable power to meet state renewable energy requirements," said Pat O'Connell, PNM's director of planning and resources.
