Researchers improve formation of LiFePO4 nanocrystals for EV batteries

Researchers at the University of California-Riverside have turned to pressure-cooking of lithium iron phosphate to get better nanocrystals that could be used in the cathodes of electric-vehicle batteries. "This is a critical, fundamental step in improving the efficiency of these batteries," said David Kisailus, an associate professor at the university.
