Rosenberg, Scovell, other panelists offer Hollywood survival strategies

Panelists -- including "Twilight" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, TV writer-producer Nell Scovell, and "Divergent" producer Lucy Fisher -- discussed gender bias in Hollywood and shared strategies for combating it during the Women in Hollywood Conference hosted by Pepperdine University Law School’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution that took place last weekend. The takeaway from the conference: women in Hollywood must know about gender bias; know how your brain works scientifically; be a solid negotiator; be a critic; and be prepared to fight for what you want.
