Verizon opens first "destination" store in Minn. mall

Verizon Wireless on Tuesday opened its initial flagship store as it begins to convert its 1,700 retail sites into what Chief Operating Officer Marni Walden termed "smart stores" -- smaller versions of the "destination" store located in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. The store, which is designed to showcase products that can connect to wireless data networks, will feature six Lifestyle Zones where shoppers can learn about products and services.
