Why sales skills are critical for entrepreneurs

One thing that many people don't understand about entrepreneurship is just how much selling is involved with launching a new startup, according to Tom Eisenmann, an entrepreneurship professor at Harvard Business School. "In entrepreneurship you are constantly selling to a new employee, investors, customers, and partners," he said. In addition to sales skills, entrepreneurs also need to be comfortable dealing with the ambiguity that comes with building a new venture, he said.
