Report: Education Needs More Funds To Keep Up With Costs

A report by Congressional Democrats says the combined drop in education spending in 47 states leaves those states a total of $10.5 billion short of what is needed to keep pace with education's rising costs. Eleven states have cut a combined $800 million from their budgets, with remedial classes, after-school tutoring and summer school suffering the deepest cuts.
