School closings in Kentucky district disseminated via e-mail

Parents in the Woodford County Public Schools district can subscribe to a free, in-house service that notifies them by e-mail as soon as officials decide to close schools. District Director of Technology Jimmy Adams, who designed the program, said the announcements are particularly beneficial in alerting parents about midday closures.
