Health care workers at greater risk from bloodborne illnesses

A CDC study found health care workers are at greater risk of dying from bloodborne infections and illnesses than people in other professions. The risk of dying from HIV was more than double for men in health care jobs. Among women in health care, death from hepatitis C was more frequent when compared with other professions.
