Patented process kills salmonella in eggs

National Pasteurized Eggs, a Lansing, Ill., company, is combating possible salmonella cases with its patented process that kills all the bacteria found in raw eggs. About one in 10,000 eggs -- the same number of eggs on display at a major grocery chain -- is contaminated with salmonella, the company's president said.
