Wyoming carbon-capture project receives $67M from DOE

Wyoming will get almost $67 million from the U.S. Department of Energy for a carbon-capture project that will store 2 million tons of carbon dioxide underground. The federal government funded seven projects across the country to test the new technology. "Along with our regional partners, we will be able to move carbon-sequestration technology from the laboratory to large-scale field demonstrations and ultimately to the marketplace," said Jeffrey Kupfer, deputy secretary of energy.
