Manufacturing leads economic recovery

The economic recovery is gaining momentum, as evidenced by a surge in manufacturing, which hit a two-year high in the mid-Atlantic region. "Manufacturing is leading this recovery. It's the strongest part of the economy. It's not booming, but it's probably the first place where you'll see job growth," said Christopher Low, chief economist at FTN Financial.
