S.C. nuclear project's costs remain within budget, report shows

The costs of adding two reactors at South Carolina Electric & Gas' nuclear power plant in Jenkinsville appear to be within the range that the utility originally estimated, according to a quarterly report submitted to the state's Public Service Commission. The report shows that the project will cost SCE&G about $4.5 billion.
