Word of the year: Admonish

Admonish is Merriam-Webster's 2009 word of the year. The word became more popular this year after Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., was admonished by the House after shouting "You lie!" as President Barack Obama was giving a health care speech. It's a verb meaning "to express warning or disapproval in a gentle, earnest, or solicitous manner."
