Health care groups plan for a post-election discussion of costs

Health care leaders, worried that the debate over care will simply transfer costs from the federal government to insurers, hospitals, doctors and individuals, are preparing for a post-2012 debate on that issue. Some of their cost-control ideas include improved coordination of care for people who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid, and changes to help shield providers from malpractice lawsuits.
