Researchers improve lighting capability of LEDs

Researchers in South Korea have employed an aluminum-alloyed graphite substrate to boost the light output of light-emitting diodes. The aluminum-alloyed graphite substrate could be substituted for sapphire substrates in growing nitride semiconductor LEDs, according to the research team.
