2-screen system may help ID patients with high retinopathy risk

A study in Diabetes Care revealed combining results from two digital color retinal photographs taken one year apart may help identify type 2 diabetes patients with the highest risk of diabetic retinopathy progression. The researchers said patients at high risk may need more frequent screening.
