ARC CEO meets with Obama about federal budget cuts

An advocate for individuals with disabilities was among the 13 leaders of special-interest groups that President Barack Obama met with last week to discuss the pending "fiscal cliff." Peter Berns, The Arc's CEO, said he talked about how benefits such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and Supplemental Security Income are "lifelines" for people with disabilities and should not be cut.
