CTIA, NAB want more time to discuss joint auction proposal

CTIA: The Wireless Association&reg joined with its broadcast station counterpart in asking federal regulators to provide them with more time to comment on the proposed incentive auctions because the two sides are talking about offering a unified plan. In a filing to the Federal Communications Commission, CTIA and the National Association of Broadcasters asked the agency to give them another month to comment and then to reply saying the delay could actually accelerate the process in which broadcasters would be compensated if they voluntarily surrender spectrum for wireless carriers.
