Grid-connected wind capacity in China to top 60 GW before 2013

Wind capacity connected to China's electrical grid is projected to surpass 60 gigawatts before 2012 ends, which would make wind the country's third-biggest power source, National Energy Administration Vice Director Liu Qi said. "A huge growth potential and room for market expansion" exists for wind power, but steps are necessary to lessen its curtailment in the grid, Liu said.
